Suzuki GSX8R Linkage
  • Suzuki GSX8R Linkage

    Suzuki GSX8 / GSX8R Race / Track Linkage

    Short Summary:

    • Improved linear rising rate through suspension stroke (Stock is 32% progression which is not good for track riding/racing).
    • Improved spring rate, valving, edge grip (Revalve, respring, and fix shock length all with one part)
    • Drop in improvement for stock suspension or aftermarket suspension.
    • Improves geometry for track riding.
    • Improved swingarm angle (Improves corner exit drive grip)
    • Improved ground clearance (No more toe scraping)
    • Set the forks flush with the upper triple tree and run a shock length 310mm (stock) to 315mm.

    Details:

Designed by 3 time MotoAmerica championship winning suspension/chassis tuner Kyle Ohnsorg after helping Suzuki riders reach the MotoAmerica supersport podium multiple times in 2024.

This link is designed to improve both stock and aftermarket suspension to allow for better drive/edge grip, rear ride height geometry/swingarm angle improvement, and a more linear rising rate of the suspension through the stroke.

It is recommended to drop the forks as far into the triple trees as possible for stock fork lengths.

Utilizes stock bearing/seal sizes. They can be pressed out of the OEM linkage and then installed into the new linkage easily. Or buy the pre-installed bearing option.

If you are running a stock shock and over 140lbs, this will improve your rear spring rate by effectively increasing the stock spring rate by 2 spring rates. If your sag is already appropriately set with an aftermarket spring/shock, decreasing spring rate by 2 (EX: 140N to 120N) will maintain the previous sag number after the linkage change. From testing, a 115N (stock) spring works for 145-165lb riders with this link (reach out with any additional questions).

Stock shock valving is improved and needs no changes. Non-OEM shocks will not require revalving, but can be modified to take advantage of the flatter motion ratio.

This link was developed for the 2025 MotoAmerica Twins Cup Class which allows modified suspension linkage but will also vastly improve club race and stock Suzuki motorcycles.
